The DeStefanos go Camping

PAENUT ISLAND:
So Sunday morning Matt and I packed up the car a headed off to Peanut Island. When we got there Kylen just wanted to wear his life vest. He wore it for like 5 hours I think. The actual boat ride was only about 10 minutes, So he was just a tiny bit excited to be able to wear it. After we got to the island we pitched out tent and started cooking some food. Rosa and her mom are GREAT cooks so we were set. The day turned out to be beautiful and we had a blast.




SUN TIME!:
The boys decided to go for a boat ride and the girls decided to get some sun! It was sooooo nice just laying on the beach knowing that Kylen is with Matt and I can close my eyes for a bit. I only called Matt once to make sure Kylen had on sunscreen...lol.






THE FISH:
Jesse's dad and his friend went spear fishing and came back with this fish. After cleaning him out they put him on the grill...WOW what a smell. Its a good thing we were the only people on the island or we would have been kicked off!





KYLEN AND JESSE:
Kylen and Jesse had so much playing together. They came up with all kinds of things to keep themselves entertained. It was a trip to watch! They really loved the flashlights!





TENT TIME:
Kylen did great sleeping in the tent. After his shower he watched a movie, read 2 books and went right to sleep. Then in then in the morning was sooo excuted to know we were still at the beach.

Mission: straight teeth

Well after years of wishing my teeth were straight again, I finally did it. I GOT BRACES. Kylen thinks they are sooo cool and he wants them too. I told him someday he would probably have them,lol. Well I will try to get better at posting since ithas been like 4 months...SORRY!

A fun November 2008

Here is a recap of November...we were very busy. BUT we had a lot of fun!!...of course.


Towards the end of Nov Matt had a buisness trip in California. I of course hopped on that plane too for a little R&R! My good friend Sarah lives out there and came to hang out with me a couple days while I was there. We also met up with John, Matts old roommate from college. We wound up at a really "cool" Martini bar in Beverly Hills. It had this freezer that you could go into and taste Vodkas. The only downside was they had 1 style coat and hat to wear. It was a lot of fun though! I also had some alone time to read a book and sit by the pool while in Cali. It was AWESOME! (oh and Matts titaniun rod only set off ONE airport alarm! woohoo!




Well Matts leg is not exactly healing as it should be so he was told by his Dr. to be more active on it. So Soccer Sundays have made a come back...we I guess it should say Frisbee Sundays since Kylen is so into frisbee.



As it got closer to Thankgiving we decided we should make a Turkey for Grandfather Aiello in TN. So, we went to the craft store bought feathers, sat outside and made our special gift.

We took Kylen to his first movie in a theater, Madagascar. He was REALLY excited to say the least.


This was a fun beginning to Nov. Matt and I went to Sebastian for the weekend. It was my sorority sister Kelly's Birthday, and of course we went to celebrate! We went out on a boat, had dinner and drinks and ended the weekend at a seafood festival. It was a blast!

A quick October

Grammy's Visit:
Grammy came down for 4 days and Kylen had soooo much with her. We went to the pumpkin patch at Kylen's school and he got to pick out a BUMPY pumpkin to bring home. They got to spend a lot time together since Matt and I had to work and he loved every minute of it!




Potty Training:
We are going on 2 weeks of wearing big big underwear. The first week I have to say was pretty frustrating. I think I bathed Kylen 6 times that first day. As the days have gone on he has gone from not telling us at all and peeing on himself, to going a little bit then telling us, to now telling us for both pee and poop!. He has done 2 full days without even a drop of an accident!! These pics were taken at his friend Charli's house. As you can see going to the potty can be a fun event for everyone. We all wound up in the bathroom reading books while Kylen took care of buisness.





Moonfest:
Matt and I went out with our friends Jenn and Randy to Moonfest. It is basically just a block party filled with a bunch of hooligans. I decided against drinking that night due to severe dehydration. I had run 10 miles that morning and was in pretty bad shape. You don't even want to know all those lovely details. BUT,I had to go out! I spent the money on the costume so I was bound and determined to wear it! I wound up finding a bar stool to plant myself on and I watched people make complete jerks of themselves most of the night. It was pretty fun.



Pumpkin Painting:
Yesterday while the weather was so FABULOUS we let Kylen paint his pumpkins in the backyard. He LOVES his bumpy pumpkin so much and had such a good time painting it.

Fireman Kylen

Today we took Kylen to a local Firehouse so he could meet some "real firemen". He was soooo excited he could hardly stand it!! We took a tour through the whole house and the garage. It was so cool.

Here we are in the garage where the pump engine and ambulance are kept. Kylen got to see all kinds of things on this truck.

He even got to hold a real fire hose!!

He also got to turn on the siren all by himself. It was REALLY loud in that garage!

He also got to turn on the lights of the truck. I have to say when he woke up this morning he was the most excited I had ever seen him. This trip was sooooo cool! After the fire house we topped off the morning with a lunch at firehouse subs! It was the perfect ending to a great day!

Disney Day

Today was Disney Day at Kylens School. So, off he went with his Disney shirt, my 1/2 marathon donald duck medal, and his marathon Mickey doll. He of course wore his running shorts and sneakers. Too cute. He had so much. Im so glad he loves school!

Caden's B day

This past weekend we took Kylen to Orlando for Caden's 3rd Birthday party. It was a Kung Fu Panda party. Im sure you'll see in the pics they had a great time!!

Wannado City

This past Saturday we took Kylen to a place called Wannado City. It is an indoor city for kids to work and play. They get to try out different jobs and make money to spend at the city fair. Kylen wanted to go to the fire house first. He got to hold the hose and tour the house. He came down the slide and looked so cute in his fireman coat. He then got into the fire truck and went for a tour of wannado city. After that he went the Wannado Publix and bought some food. He had made 40 wannado dollars from the firehouse and publix so off to the Wannado fair we went. Each ride was $10.00 so he rode the airplane, train, carousel, and ship. After that he was ready to be a Paleontologist and dig for dino bones. After a while of digging he finally found a bone. This place was so fun I can't wait to take him again! There are about 30 different jobs you can choose from, it is awesome! He was a little to young to do most of them, like Vet, EMT, crime lab tech, pilot, and radio DJ. but in a few years this place will be perfect!

School days

Well Kylen has been in school for a couple weeks now and he LOVES it! He has come home talking about his freinds and his teacher and of course the playground. This past Thursday was hat day and Kylen wore is cowboy hat. He also wore his new "preschool Rocks" shirt that his uncle Jeff bought him. His teacher thought it was so cute. She also said he was great behaviorally and academically so that made me happy. He apparently has been showning his good manners and holding the door for the class when they go outside. I wish I could have seen that...too cute! Anyways here are a couple pics from hat day.
