On the boat!!

This weekend Matt, Kylen and I took off for Orlando for some fun in the sun! My moms fiance Steve has a boat and took us out for ride on Lake George. (It is the 2nd largest lake in Florida) Kylen had a blast looking for turtles and spotting a couple gators! As the sun was starting to set we docked at a restaurant and had some food. Steves son and his girlfriend were also with us and it was really nice getting to know them too! I can't wait to do it again!!

Beautiful Florida Saturday!

Today was BEAUTIFUL!! The sun was shining, the temperature was PERFECT, so we took Kylen to the beach. He played in the sand for while with Matt. Every once in while they'd watched the boats sail by and I got some GREAT pics! Matt and I played frisbee too while Kylen terrorized some birds. It was a fun day.

Oh by the way...Kylen pee-pee'd in the potty last night and had his first night without a pacifier!! He's such a big boy!!!

Weekend O' Fun

Friday Night: SOUTH FLORIDA FAIR!!
We decided to take Kylent to the fair with our friends Jenn & Randy. Kylen saw sharks and Sea Lions (he got to pet it), he rode a few rides(BIG SLIDE!), and ate some carnival food. He was out WAY past his bed time but had so much fun!

Saturday night:Sleep over!
Saturday night we drove to Stuart to have a sleep over with Kylens best friend Charli! They played, watched Barney and actually went to sleep at the same time.

Sunday:
The next monring we went to Chuckie Cheese and they played games and ate pizza. Kylen and charli had a blast together! After that we packed up and headed to Matts parents so Kylen could take a nap. When he woke up we walked down the street to a school carnival. Kylen played more games and rode more rides. We eventually put and end to our Weekend O' Fun and went to sleep!

1/2 Marathon

Well I did it! I finished the 1/2 marathon!! We ran it in 2:30:00, which was exactly what we trained to come in at. The whole experience was AMAZING and I will def. do it again! I am actually going to begin training in August for the Palm beach 1/2 in Dec. Matt even said he would do it with me so this will at least be an entertaining training to say the least! Enjoy the pics!

CHEESE!!

So as we were getting ready go to Matt's work dinner, Kylen knelt down on the stairs and looked so cute reading this book. So I got my camera and took a picture. (he wasn't looking of course) So as I was just sitting there waiting to take another, hoping just for maybe a part of his face to be in the picture, he turned his head looked at the camera and said "cheese!" I was shocked!! I didn't even say his name to look my direction let alone probe him with saying cheese. I was so excited I started laughing and said "Kylen do it again, do it again" and he again smiled looked at me said "cheese!" I LOVE THESE PICS!!!,

THANKSGIVING

We spent Thanksgiving this year in Orlando. First thing in the morning we went downtown so i could run in the Turkey Trot. Then at 9:30 Kylen ran in the kids race. It was soooo cute. Kylen was so ready to go that Matt could barely hold onto him. He didn't quite get that you have to wait for man to say go. He was running for the finish until he saw me in the crowd and then he ran right over to me. It was cute. After our race we went back to moms for some food and family. Kylen was ALL OVER caden. Poor Caden was running around saying "kylen scary!" I think Kylen was just REALLY REALLY REALLY excited to see Caden. We all have a great day!

TENNESSEE

Last week Kylen, Matt and got on a plane a headed to TN. My dad and Jamie live up there now so we thought it was the perfect time of year to take visit. Kylen LOVED the plane ride! He was going WEEE!WEEEE!, the entire take off! While we were in TN we went to a couple parks and got to spend some quality time with my family. One park had the coolest playground I have ever seen..and I have seen a bunch! It had every possible piece of equiptment you could think of in it. It was huge!

I think the highlight of the trip was the farm we went to on Sat. Kylen got to paint a pumpkin, walk through a corn maze, take a hayride to a real pumpkin patch, and cut off his very own pumpkin right from the vine!! (well my dad did the cutting)He sure was cute on that farm!! Oh yeah and he fed corn to some goats, and thought that was coolest thing ever.

We came home on Sunday night. Kylen fell asleep on the plane, and actually stayed asleep all they way to his crib at home. The poor baby was soooo tired he slept till noon on Monday!!
ENJOY THE PICS!

Pumpkin Patch Time

It is that time again when my moms group takes a trip over to the pumpkin patch. Unlike last year, it is a lot harder to get a good pic of Kylen since he WILL NOT stand still for 1 second. Last year he couldn't even sit up by himself and all I had to do was prop him up against a pumpkin. I could take picture after picture and not sweat! This year, I was all over that pumpkin patch. I even ripped a huge whole in my jeans (right on my butt)from squating so much trying to get a good pic! Oh well eventually we found a few pumpkins to take to the park for some painting fun. Kylen and his friend Jesse had lunch, played on the playground, and then painted their new pumpkins. It was a really fun day...although my jeans are not wearable and quite embarassing. Here some cute pics.(not of my butt)

LOVE, FRIENDSHIP, LOYALTY

It has been 5 years since the Eta Eta chapter of Kappa Kappa Gamma was first colonized at UCF. I along with over 100 women were the first to initiate and get this chapter off and running. About one month into Eta Eta's journey I was elected president and my life completely changed. Myself along with 18 officers worked day and night to make that chapter flourish...and it did. We accomplished amazing things and now have a bond that unlike any other. Our chapter has gone on to win numerous competitions at UCF and continues to receive scholastic recognition from our national fraternity. I am always so proud of our chapter and was so excited when I heard they were having an alumni lunch in honor of our Founders Day.

Well that lunch took place on Saturday and I can not even begin to tell you how great it makes me feel to be a part of something like Kappa. There is just nothing like the bond you have with your sorority sisters. Especially, how I feel about the girls who initiated as charter members. We have put so much care and effort into making this organization take off that we will always have this motherly feeling about Eta Eta. When we are around each other we are so overcome with happiness and pride because of what we see happening in our chapter. I miss kappa so much, but it is comforting to know that our LOYALTY is for life. Even graduated, married, and a mother I AM ALWAYS A KAPPA.
