Kylen's Faux-Hawk

Sunday afternoon my mom and I took Kylen to the mall to get a "real" haircut. He has had it shaved and cut 5 times now but this time he went to a real salon and got it styled. I saw the haircut I wanted on the cover of parenting magazine and knew it would be sooooo cute if I could get his hair thin enough to do it. So the lady clipped in the back and on the sides, then cut the top and then thinned it out when she was finished. At the end he got some product put in it to make it stand up and he was good to go! As we went into stores in the mall he would see himself in a mirror, laugh and check himself out! It it ws soooo funny! Here are some pics of the new look! NO MORE HELMET HEAD!

My B-Day Party!!

On Saturday Matt planned a B-day Party for me at the beach. We rented a pavillion and cooked out. Kylen was there for a couple hours and played with his friend Nicky, but then it was off to nap time with Grammy. We styaed for a few more hours just hanging out withour friends and talking. It was a fun day.

EP PEES

Lately Kylen has really been trying to use words to communicate. One of his favorites phrases is Ep Pees. When ever he is frustrated that he can't do or get to something he tries to say "help Please", and it just comes out as Ep Pees.

Well I took this pic as I was trying to load up the car. Kylen some how got himself stuck in our flower bed and was just holding out his hands saying "EP PEES,EP PEES, EP PEES!! I couldn't help but laugh and then get my camera (it was close by).

our BUSY weekend!!

Friday Night: I went and had a massage at the spa. I am still sore...it was more like a beating!LOL!

Saturday morning: Matt and I took Kylen to Gymboree and then took off to meet some of our friends at the beach. Kylen LOVES the ocean and he had so much fun playing in the water with us and our freinds. He is such a good boy!



Saturday Night: our friends Jenn & Randy came over to watch Kylen and Matt and I went out. We have a good friend whos brother's band was playing so we went, had dinner and listens to great music!

Early Sunday morning around 5:30 I woke up and began my training for the 1/2 marathon I am running in Jan. Our team met downtown and ran over the okeechobee bridge 4 times. Let me tell how rough it was to waking up that early to run up and down a bridge after staying out so late last night. Luckly, later I got to take a nap.

Mid morning: Off to church. We decided to take classes to become members and this moring was the first of 2 classes. Kylen went to the nursery and learned about King Solomon and colored his picture.

While we were at church we got phone call that someone wanted to see our house in a hour so we quickly got Kylen and left to clean up our house. The people came and went and we continued with our day.

Sunday Afternoon: Charli's B day party. Charli is a little girl that Kylen plays with all the time. We have been getting them together a couple times a week since Kylen was 3 months old. Her B day party was a one of our favorite parks. This park has fountains for the kids to play in and they had a blast.




Sunday Evening: (Kylen & I woke up from our naps) We had Matt's parents over for a cookout. After dinner we walked around the neighborhood with kylen. HE WALKED THE WHOLE WAY AROUND!!! That is about 1/3 of a mile!

Kylen is now asleep and our weekend has come to a close. Up the stairs we go to lay in bed and watch tv. Finally...relaxation!

Fun with Daddy

One night while I was at Yoga Matt grabbed the camera and took some pics of Kylen after his bath. He was playing with his Rock and Roll Bike that he LOVES!! I love these pics! It is so nice to come home and see pics like these. He looks like such a big boy on his bike. OH!!!.. I could just eat him up!!! TOO FREAKIN CUTE!

4th of July

4th of July was sooooo much fun! We went to a party that had the most amazing fireworks!! But when we weren't looking at fireworks we were busy getting competitive with a game of flip cup. Also very late into the evening we played a couple rounds of dizzy bat and let me just tell you THAT WAS HILARIOUS!! I fell right on my side as I was dizzily trying to run back to my team. GOOD TIMES! A few times I thought we were going to lose a few people vering off into the canal but they managed to stay focused and get back to their teams safely...LOL!

Our weekend with CADEN!!

This weekend my nephew Caden, mom, and gammom came to visit us. The day they came we went to Gymboree,and then the mall. They had so much fun being silly together! On Saturday we took the boys to the toddler water park, and they swam for hours! One of the funniest moments of the weekend was when we had the air mattress on the floor and the boys were wrestling on it. At one point Kylen ran as fast as he could and just plowed into Caden. They both went down and just rolled off the mattress. Matt fortunatly had just turned the dvd recorder on so we have it on DVD!! It is hilarous! We watched it over and over in slow motion just to get the full effect of Kylen's intent to take Caden out! Too Funny.

Kylen's minor surgery

As most of you know since Kylen was born he has had tear duct problems. His eyes are always tearing and gooping. His left eye was able to clear upon its own a few months back, but his right continuously was clogged and got infections. So once children turn 12 months and it has not cleared they have to have it surgically opened. So that is what we did today. We had to be at the surgery center at 6:15am to fill out paperwork and get him all prepped for the procedure. He was not happy at all to be without his morning juice and oatmeal, not to mention the bracelet on his ankle and hospital gown that was not very warm. His poor little toes were so cold. He was so upset that every time he even saw the nurse walk by he burst into tears. He did eventually calm down long enough for Matt to take our picture with is phone Kylen just looked so pitiful/cute we had to have a pic!. So finally another nurse came by to take him into surgery and we said our goodbyes. About 15 minutes later he was in recovery and we were allowed to back and hold him. We gave him some juice and his pacifier and he was happy once again. That is until the nurse took off the sticky circles on his back. But Matt made him laugh and he has been fine since. He is completely back to his regular self. Though it wasn't a major surgery the idea of anesthesia is never fun, but he did well and we are proud of him.

Fruit plate

The mall we go to has this really cool playground in the middle of it. Kylen LOVES to play in here, and today was even more exciting than usual due to the lady making balloon swords. When we first got there Kylen just ran around crying and trying to steal everyone elses swords so we scooped him up and took him to get his own. It was too funny watching him actually try to sword fight theses other kids! They looked like they knew what they were doing and it was hilarious. After a while the kids got tired of playing together and Kylen decided to climb up the fruit plate and hold his sword in the air like he won some great battle. This kid really does keep me laughing ALL THE TIME! Between Matt and Kylen I am smiling all day long!
