TENNESSEE

Last week Kylen, Matt and got on a plane a headed to TN. My dad and Jamie live up there now so we thought it was the perfect time of year to take visit. Kylen LOVED the plane ride! He was going WEEE!WEEEE!, the entire take off! While we were in TN we went to a couple parks and got to spend some quality time with my family. One park had the coolest playground I have ever seen..and I have seen a bunch! It had every possible piece of equiptment you could think of in it. It was huge!

I think the highlight of the trip was the farm we went to on Sat. Kylen got to paint a pumpkin, walk through a corn maze, take a hayride to a real pumpkin patch, and cut off his very own pumpkin right from the vine!! (well my dad did the cutting)He sure was cute on that farm!! Oh yeah and he fed corn to some goats, and thought that was coolest thing ever.

We came home on Sunday night. Kylen fell asleep on the plane, and actually stayed asleep all they way to his crib at home. The poor baby was soooo tired he slept till noon on Monday!!
ENJOY THE PICS!

Pumpkin Patch Time

It is that time again when my moms group takes a trip over to the pumpkin patch. Unlike last year, it is a lot harder to get a good pic of Kylen since he WILL NOT stand still for 1 second. Last year he couldn't even sit up by himself and all I had to do was prop him up against a pumpkin. I could take picture after picture and not sweat! This year, I was all over that pumpkin patch. I even ripped a huge whole in my jeans (right on my butt)from squating so much trying to get a good pic! Oh well eventually we found a few pumpkins to take to the park for some painting fun. Kylen and his friend Jesse had lunch, played on the playground, and then painted their new pumpkins. It was a really fun day...although my jeans are not wearable and quite embarassing. Here some cute pics.(not of my butt)

LOVE, FRIENDSHIP, LOYALTY

It has been 5 years since the Eta Eta chapter of Kappa Kappa Gamma was first colonized at UCF. I along with over 100 women were the first to initiate and get this chapter off and running. About one month into Eta Eta's journey I was elected president and my life completely changed. Myself along with 18 officers worked day and night to make that chapter flourish...and it did. We accomplished amazing things and now have a bond that unlike any other. Our chapter has gone on to win numerous competitions at UCF and continues to receive scholastic recognition from our national fraternity. I am always so proud of our chapter and was so excited when I heard they were having an alumni lunch in honor of our Founders Day.

Well that lunch took place on Saturday and I can not even begin to tell you how great it makes me feel to be a part of something like Kappa. There is just nothing like the bond you have with your sorority sisters. Especially, how I feel about the girls who initiated as charter members. We have put so much care and effort into making this organization take off that we will always have this motherly feeling about Eta Eta. When we are around each other we are so overcome with happiness and pride because of what we see happening in our chapter. I miss kappa so much, but it is comforting to know that our LOYALTY is for life. Even graduated, married, and a mother I AM ALWAYS A KAPPA.

Fall has come but we still do the beach.

Thursday morning I recieved an Email about a fall festival. The city was hosting it downtown, that night, and it was FREE! So I called Matt and his parents and we all headed up there that evening for some FALL FUN! Kylen got a free pumpkin for us to decorate. He also climbed this rope/ladder all the way to the top and then went down the HUGE slide with daddy! He also danced to a band and ate some pizza.

The next night we gave Kylen a marker and let him decorate his pumpkin. Then he thought it would be fun to throw it down the stairs. He's a crazy boy.

Matt had off on saturday and we took kylen up tot he beach and he played in the sand with daddy and some other kids for over an hour.

Oh boy, more fun!

This weekend we went Orlando again for my nephew Caden's 2nd birthday party, and boy was it a fun filled weekend. On Friday we took Kylen to Disney for the first time. He rode the tea cups, its a Small world, Dumbo, and the haunted mansion. We also ate some yummy food (courtesy of Kelly). Then on Sat we got up bright and early (5:20am)and went to my 15K race(9.3miles). At the 6th mile I finally saw Kylen and Matt waving to me. Then they were at the 9th mile for the finish and it felt so good to see them there! Later that day was Cadens party and Kylen had sooooo much fun with him. They played with trains and cars and went for a swim. They had a blast!
