SPRING BREAK 2009

Rapids Water Park:
So EVERY DAY that we take Kylen to school we pass the water park. And everyday we hear "Mommy? Is the water park open yet?" So we finally took him and he had soooooo much fun! He rode down all the slides that he was allowed. We even watched Daddy ride down some of the big ones. And Ill have you know that Kylen is eating as much as he can everyday so he can grow tall enough to ride them too...Im serious he really is.






Miami Children's Museum:
We drove to Miami and had some fun at the children's museum. Kylen enjoyed fishing off of a childrens ship, playing motor boats, milking a cow and playing air hockey. Not to metion tackling these 45lb weighed *things* (not sure what they are called)






LION COUNTRY:
The last day of having Matt home with us we went to Lion Country Safari. After the safari, train ride, petting zoo, ferris wheel, and sting rays we spent the rest of the day at the water park. Kylen LOVES going to Lion Counrty! We even ended our day with some yummy ice cream.





FISHERMAN KYLEN:
The last few days of our spring break we went to see my family. We spend a night at Gammoms house playing and visiting with her and my pop-pop. Then we went to my mom's new house. Steve took us out on the boat for some fishing fun. Kylen had a blast!

costumes, costumes

Well Kylen LOVES to dress up in different costumes. Since I have been sick we have been spending a lot more time at home. So he has been having a blast getting to play with all his toys! Yesterday and today he decided he wanted to be a builder and a firefighter. So first we put on his builders costume and he hammered blocks together to make a bridge in the living room. Not to long after the bridge was built he was ready to save some lives. So he changed out of the builders costume and put on his firefighter costume. He played for probably 30 minutes just running back and forth with his tools pretending to save people from their burning homes. So enjoy the pics of my lil construction/firefighter.

Oh by the way baseball has now become a new obsession. He even said the other day that he didnt want to be a fireman anymore b/c he wanted to play baseball instead. He has since retracted that statment but still has asked to play it everyday in our living room...too funny!

The DeStefanos go Camping

PAENUT ISLAND:
So Sunday morning Matt and I packed up the car a headed off to Peanut Island. When we got there Kylen just wanted to wear his life vest. He wore it for like 5 hours I think. The actual boat ride was only about 10 minutes, So he was just a tiny bit excited to be able to wear it. After we got to the island we pitched out tent and started cooking some food. Rosa and her mom are GREAT cooks so we were set. The day turned out to be beautiful and we had a blast.




SUN TIME!:
The boys decided to go for a boat ride and the girls decided to get some sun! It was sooooo nice just laying on the beach knowing that Kylen is with Matt and I can close my eyes for a bit. I only called Matt once to make sure Kylen had on sunscreen...lol.






THE FISH:
Jesse's dad and his friend went spear fishing and came back with this fish. After cleaning him out they put him on the grill...WOW what a smell. Its a good thing we were the only people on the island or we would have been kicked off!





KYLEN AND JESSE:
Kylen and Jesse had so much playing together. They came up with all kinds of things to keep themselves entertained. It was a trip to watch! They really loved the flashlights!





TENT TIME:
Kylen did great sleeping in the tent. After his shower he watched a movie, read 2 books and went right to sleep. Then in then in the morning was sooo excuted to know we were still at the beach.

Mission: straight teeth

Well after years of wishing my teeth were straight again, I finally did it. I GOT BRACES. Kylen thinks they are sooo cool and he wants them too. I told him someday he would probably have them,lol. Well I will try to get better at posting since ithas been like 4 months...SORRY!

A fun November 2008

Here is a recap of November...we were very busy. BUT we had a lot of fun!!...of course.


Towards the end of Nov Matt had a buisness trip in California. I of course hopped on that plane too for a little R&R! My good friend Sarah lives out there and came to hang out with me a couple days while I was there. We also met up with John, Matts old roommate from college. We wound up at a really "cool" Martini bar in Beverly Hills. It had this freezer that you could go into and taste Vodkas. The only downside was they had 1 style coat and hat to wear. It was a lot of fun though! I also had some alone time to read a book and sit by the pool while in Cali. It was AWESOME! (oh and Matts titaniun rod only set off ONE airport alarm! woohoo!




Well Matts leg is not exactly healing as it should be so he was told by his Dr. to be more active on it. So Soccer Sundays have made a come back...we I guess it should say Frisbee Sundays since Kylen is so into frisbee.



As it got closer to Thankgiving we decided we should make a Turkey for Grandfather Aiello in TN. So, we went to the craft store bought feathers, sat outside and made our special gift.

We took Kylen to his first movie in a theater, Madagascar. He was REALLY excited to say the least.


This was a fun beginning to Nov. Matt and I went to Sebastian for the weekend. It was my sorority sister Kelly's Birthday, and of course we went to celebrate! We went out on a boat, had dinner and drinks and ended the weekend at a seafood festival. It was a blast!
