Awesome birthday weekend!!

Well Friday night Matt dropped Kylen off at his parents and we had the whole holiday weekend just the 2 of us! That night Matt reserved a table at club and a few of our friends came out to celebrate. Jake was even nice enough to let me sport his "Kanye party shades" for a brief moment...too funny, what a trip.



The next day we went shopping for my Bday and saw Batman. It was AWESOME! Then on Sunday we went to churchand had lunch with our youth pastor and his wife. After that we got ready to go to the John Mayer concert with out friends Jenn and Randy. The concert was fun but I was definatly getting tired from my weekend!! Today we woke up and went to matt's parents for a cookout and GOT TO SEE OUR LITTLE MAN!! What a fun weekend!!

Kylen's first day

Well today went very well. Kylen woke up ready for school!! Matt and I both dropped him off and it was such a special morning. When his teacher opened the door he gave her the flower pens we made her and off he went to play. We tried to say good bye to him but he only wanted to play. He just looked up as we were waving at the door and ignored us. oh well, Im glad he was comfortable. Enjoy the pics of his first day!!

Been a While

Okay so the summer began with Kylens Birthday and after our reunion weekend in the Keys quickly went into July. We had a fun 4th and then 2 days later Matt broke his leg at one of his many Sunday soccer games. After surgery, 3 screws, a titanium rod, and now almost 2 months of rehab he is doing well. He started driving this week and has also started walking without his crutches...not sure if hes supposed to but he is. Last week I started training again for my 2nd 1/2 marathon and will be running the first weekend in Dec. School has begun and I am teaching 1st grade this year. I am job sharing again so I can be home with Kylen too and so far it has been GREAT! Kylen is also starting school this week. We went today to meet his teacher and it was so fun! He is going just 3 hours a day, 2 days a week at a Christian school that goes up to 5th grade. It was so fun picking out his little school tee shirts! SO CUTE! I think I am more excited than he is! I will let you know how his first day goes!! (and no it wont take me 3 months)Matta nd I also have been busy at church too this summer. We volunteer everyother sunday in the 4th and 5th grade school called Surge45. Matt does the technology aspecta nd I do the small groups. I am teaching alone this sunday for the first time and I have to say I am a little nervous. I can teach reading writing ect, but teaching about God just feels like so much more pressure...I just dont want to screw it up.LOL. Anyways enjoy the pics

Kylens 2nd Bday

Well his actual B day was Friday June 6th. I had to work so Matt took hime to MyGym for a Barney show!! They had a blast! When I got home we took Kylen to Build-A-Bear for his frist time!(he now wants to work part time there...no kidding he told us and we have it on video...hilarious!)So after he made Dino we walked the mall and Kylen strolled his new toy all over the place. The next day was was Kylens party. He had a Nemo themed pool party at Matt parents house. All of his family and friends were there to celebrtate and he had a GREAT DAY!

Wacky Wednesday

Normally our Wednesdays are pretty boring, but today was SUPER FUN! First thing this morning we went to sing-A-long at Pottery Barn Kids. Of course Kylen's friend Charli met us up there and they had so much fun together. At the end of the show I got up and did the hokie-pokie with Kylen. It was so much fun.


Then that night I was in the talent show with some teachers and students at my school. Matt made our music and we taught the girls the dance and it turned out AWESOME!! We were clearly the hit of the show! The crowd went CRAZY! It was sooooo fun!

Miami Metro Zoo

Saturday morning as Kylen and I sat watching tv in our PJ's I called my friend Jeanine to see what she was doing. She said they were on there way to the Miami Metro Zoo if I wanted to meet them. So I said I'll think about it and call her back. I hung up and asked Kylen if he wanted to do something really fun with mommy and of course he said yes. Then I asked him if he wanted to go to the zoo and he SCREAMED YYEESS! So we super quick got dressed and off we went to Miami. The first thing we did was see the Diego show. Kylen LOVES Diego! Then we just walked around and looked at all the animals. Kylen and Charli had so much running around and seeing everything. We didn't leave the zoo till around 5:30pm and Kylen was asleep before we left the parking lot. I wish Matt could have been with us but it was still a fun day!

Our Backyard Weekend

Saturday:
Kylen and I had our friends Jeanine and Charli over for some fun in the sun. I made the kids chicken and they sat outside and ate lunch. After lunch they swam in the pool for a while but Charli was really wanting to go the park. So we put the kids in the car and took them to the park with the fountains so they could play in the water some more.(no pics)After that everyone took naps and we waited for daddy to get home so we could grill some chicken and swim somemore!


Sunday:
After Church Matt and I got the yard ready for our friends Rosa & Mike to come over with thier son Jesse. While we were getting ready Kylen decided to get in the pool with ALL HIS CLOTHES ON, SHOES AND SOCKS AND ALL!! He is so silly I tell you! I think he was just exited about having people over. Matts brother was also coming by to visit so Kylen was super excited! Kylen and Jesse had fun playing in the pool together While we grilled hamburgers and hotodgs. It was a fun day

These last two pics were taken today. The temp is in the low 70's and it was just to beautiful to eat lunch in the house. So we went to the porch and ate on Kylens new Dora table and chairs (courtesy of Gammom). He thought he was soooo cool sitting outside!

ASLEEP

Today was Matt's mothers birthday and we decided to take her out to lunch for the occasion. Kylen was up about an hour past his nap, but he has done this before so we thought it was no biggie. We continued on with our meal and next thing we knew Kylen was barely holding his head up at the table. I asked him if he wanted to put his head down and he said yes as his head dropped to the table. Not even 1 minute later he was fast asleep with his hand still in his food! Matt took a pic with his camera and this is it!

Strawberry Picking!

Today Kylen and I went off to the strawberry farm. We got there at 10am when our group was supposed to go but everone else wanted to be an hour late. So we wound sitting in the car for a good while waiting to in. You will see we found some stickers to play with when you look at the pics. Between the stickers and the easter eggs I was going to save for easter he had fun. So the hour did go by pretty fast after all. When Jesse and Charli arrived we went inside to get our basket and scissors. We walked up and down rows and rows of strawberrys looking for the best ones to cut off. Kylen would show me one, I would cut it and he would put it the basket. It wasn't long before he wanted to do all the cutting. My little farmer picked, cut, and put them in the basket all by himself. I think he did a fantastic job not eating any the whole time we were there! His friend Charli on the other hand ate more than she had to take take home. He thought she was so silly for doing that. He kept saying "Sizzie Chardi" (silly charli)every time she ate one. After the farm we went to the park, had lunch, and played on the playground. We had a really fun day!
